BPA 2018-2019 Principals Message- Middle School Report Cards Middle School Report Cards Message: Final Report Card Distribution Delay This year, the Florida Department of Education has moved both FSA and End of Course (EOC) testing windows to the last four weeks of the school year. With this change, the results of the FSA and EOC scores are planned to be released later than in past years. Typically, final report cards are available in mid-June, which includes final grades for courses impacted by EOC scores. Due to the testing windows being moved to later in the year, the State expects test scores to be released in late June, which will ultimately delay report cards. Despite this delay, school administration is expected to use all information necessary to graduate students as they normally would. A message will be sent by the district office to all middle and high school parents to proactively address this concern. In the message, parents will be notified that they will receive updated communication from their school once final report cards are available.

BPA 2018-2019 Principals Message OCPS parents, Every year, schools have implemented a no backpack rule for the last few days of school and we will be doing that again this year. Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day there will be no backpacks allowed at school. Instruction will continue through a more traditional method with the use of supplies already in the classrooms. Durante los días martes y miércoles después del Día de los Caídos (Memorial Day) no se permitirán mochilas en las escuelas. 2018-2019 Safety Message Good Morning Message to Parents please: OCPS Safety Message Update: BPA of Orange families, this is an update to last evening’s safety message from OCPS. We understand parents may have questions and concerns. We received notice from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement that a general threat was reported against an UNNAMED school and tourist attraction in the Central Florida area. No specific school was mentioned in the anonymous threat which was received through a crisis hotline in Connecticut, but originated in England. Though the threat was deemed NOT viable, we are working with law enforcement agencies. Central Florida School districts were notified and are exercising caution. We will update you as additional information becomes available. The safety of our schools remains our top priority. Thank you for your continued support.
